Is £1500 just around the corner for your school?

Forget the Eurovision Song Contest, we have news of an even more exciting and hotly anticipated contest for stardom. In only a few weeks’ time, the winners of the Appetite for Action competition 2011 will be crowned and richly rewarded!

With the June 10th entry deadline fast approaching and half term holidays almost here, now is the time to find your Appetite for ACTION!

To enter the competition, all you need to do is to sign up to one of the three challenges and carry out a few simple actions to complete your chosen challenge. For exact entry criteria, have a look at the competition page.

Once you have completed your challenge, not only will you have measurably improved the sustainability of your school, you will automatically be entered into the competition!

"Points mean prizes!" say last year's winners

There will be an overall winning school from one of the participating countries (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland). The school chosen as the overall winner will receive a cash prize of £1,500. The remaining country winners will receive £500 each.

So use these last precious days to make sure you are in it to win it!

The Appetite for Action programme has been developed in partnership between the leading environmental behaviour change charity Global Action Plan and Sky. Global Action Plan has run the Action in School programme successfully with over 300 schools, helping them to make small changes that make a big difference. The Appetite for Action programme with Sky will allow many more schools to benefit from the process.
